Veracity 5.5 Release
We are delighted to announce the latest release of the Veracity platform – version 5.5.
Working closely with our customers and based on strong feedback from the Veracity Customer Council, we are now focused on bringing to front and centre the improvements that our bot protection brings to our customers, whilst continuing to improve our click fraud protection.
Version 5.5 is the first in a series of rapid updates to the Veracity platform planned over the spring and summer of 2021. We will be releasing version 5.6 in early June and version 5.7 in mid July.
What’s new in V5.5?
Brand new dashboard
Ahead of further major enhancements to allow you to explore your bot reductions and media spend improvements over time, that will be coming across the next two releases, we have added “Media Spend Summary” & “Visitor Profile” to the dashboard.
There are also improvements to Active Campaigns & Channels – defaulting to showing your Campaign & Channel data in tabular format.
Campaign/Channel/Link detailed view
We have enhanced these views in a number of ways
- Add breadcrumb to the top, making it easier to navigate around;
- Moved spend data up the page where available;
- Added visitor and browser profile to the detailed dashboard;
- Added spend into campaign and channel views – previously only available in links – aggregated spend across all links in the campaign or channel.
We plan to rework these views substantially in the next two releases, to make them more intuitive and easier to explore for insights.
Pages dashboard
In preparation for the Google Page Experience update expected in May 2021; we have made your page Google lighthouse score more prominent. Again, this will be built upon in the next two releases to help you understand how Google scores the performance of each of your pages for SEO placement.
Enhanced performance export
Currently still found within the “Report” section, there is now a greater selection of items you can export; campaigns and channels as well as at the website level. “Group by” and “collation” are supported too. All this is in preparation for expanding reporting integration to Google Data Studio, Tableau and others in the next two sprints.
Improvements to bot detection
The very heart of Veracity is our highly capable bot detection engine, from which we can block bots from engaging with your paid adverts. We have continued to improve this engine throughout 2020 and into 2021, working on the post-processing of visitor journeys to determine which were from bots; a process that works very well.
We have now started prototyping an extension to this engine, by starting to look at visitor journeys in real-time as they are taking place; a process that we call “first-pass” bot detection. This is currently in beta with a very small number of customers, and we expect to expand coverage to a larger set of clients during May and June, before implementing across our full customer-base in July.
We have high hopes that this feature will not only allow us to detect bots quicker (meaning we can block them and stop them stealing your budget quicker), but also to detect more bots.
